Pork and Immigration

I support the idea of Immigration Reform, because I think there is a lot that needs fixing.  But I am primarily a fiscal conservative, and so I will not & cannot support any bill loaded down with pork in order to buy the votes of senators. 

Any senator who is opposed to a bill should not vote for it.  They should not adopt an attitude of, "I will not vote for it unless I get some goodies".  Both senators from Alaska did this.  Bernie Sanders did this.  Harry Reid just inserted his own goodies.  These people do not deserve to hold office.  They are corrupt.

Anyway, the senate immigration bill that just passed the senate was loaded down with pork spending to get votes.  The House will consider their own bill.  If members of the house are looking for goodies to secure their vote, the whole mess just needs to go down in flames.  Many of you disagree with immigration reform in principle, and I respect that.  Many support it for the same reasons.  But we can all agree this is not an opportunity to spend our tax dollars on pork barrel projects  to get people re-elected.
